Hammer of God
The Hammer of God is a novel by Arthur C. Clarke. It's about a giant asteroid that is hurtling towards the Earth, threatening to destroy all. If you took this novel, moved it from the future to the present, added some stars and syringed out any last drop of intelligence, you would have Armageddon.
Do yourself a favor and read Hammer of God instead. It's a million times better and a fairly light read, with at least half of the novel more about conjectures about the future than the plot with the asteroid. Also, Michael Bay is not involved in any sense, and that's ALWAYS a good thing. ¶ 8:06 p.m.
