Linkstravaganza
My list of things to talk about is rather short. I'm running out of things, you see. However, my list of links is quite long, so I'm going to try and clear a few out.
IBM + Linux. Personally, I'm a big fan of open-source software. It's free, and usually has better features than commercial stuff, since it's made by a larger number of people. The only downside is that most of it isn't finished, since it's being worked on in the coder's spare time. IBM is now pimping off Linux though, and the way their advertisement does it makes it seem that Linux is the messiah of computing and will solve all your problems. Regardless, most of the other IBM ads are up there as well, and some of them are rather entertaining.
Wiseass' exam. I think it would be difficult to mark and exam like this. I would be tempted at every turn to give the kid points for humor, so unfortunately, I would have to pass the exam off to a colleague that happened to be born without a funny bone. I mean he answers one question about compounds with "penguin"!
Two Zombies Later. If you like odd, eccentric music, give this a listen. It's free (really free, not just pirate-free), so there's no reason not to, and it's pretty good. Basically just an ecclectic collection of music... Can't say much more than that.
You too can run a cult! This guy rules. He puts an ad in the paper for no reason, and ends up as a cult leader with people willing to do his bidding. Good thing he seems like a nice guy...
Medicine: A Nutshell's Eye View. Funny how true this is...
Insanity on paper. If my posts get to this point, please let me know. I'd hate to go crazy and not realize it. Then again, the lunatics never know they're nuts, do they?
It's too late for March, but
get ready for April. Otherwise, the rabid beast of
Caer-Bannog will come and eat you!
Remember where you were on 9/11?
This guy remembers where Bush was. I don't really have any more to comment on it, but it does make you stop and think.
I would so want to do
this. Unfortunately, the thought of slicing open my fingers really freaks me out. Maybe a magnetic earring? Or an eyebrow bar?
Finally, one of the
creepier movies I've seen in a while. It's a bit corny if you think about just the premise, but the execution makes up for it. I also really like the claymation used.
So that's that
I don't have any cereal in my apartment at the moment. This is very bad. I was planning on picking some up, but it slipped my mind and I didn't. Now I'm going to pay for that tomorrow morning. I might have to make eggs, or toast, or maybe both. I don't like it one bit.
In closing, to recap,
this game rules, and I would really like either a scanner or a WACOM tablet, for no reason in particular. And now I need to make my lunch for tomorrow. Adieu.
